Post 100 Repairs Ramp
A truly heartwarming story of community service and proactive support from Post 100 that exemplifies the very essence of AMVETS commitment to veterans.
Recently, a local veterans was in significant need of assistance with repairs to the access ramp at his home, which was crucial for his mobility and safety. He had initially sought help from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in April of last year. Regrettably, despite his persistent efforts, the necessary aid from the VA did not materialize, leaving him in a difficult situation for many months.
Fortunately, Post 100's vigilant Second Vice Commander, Spencer Rivaliy, noticed the veteran's predicament. Spencer took the initiative to speak with the veteran directly and assess his needs. Recognizing the urgency, he swiftly mobilized a dedicated team of volunteers from Post 100. The members generously contributed their time and skills and they successfully completed all the vital repairs to the ramp, ensuring the veteran now has safe and reliable access to his home.
This beautifully showcases the unwavering dedication of Post 100 members to supporting local veterans when they need it most.
